Character of Tamboti
The topography of Tamboti River Private Game Reserve consists 60% of mountains and ravines, and 40% of plateau and plains. The Tamboti River winds its way through the reserve for 3.5 km, 50-80 m high cliffs on either side. The extensive rock formations shaped over hundreds of millions of years of ravine erosion offer natural privacy and exclusivity, unparalleled, providing a spectacular backdrop for the residential sites along its banks.
This part of the Waterberg is renowned for the diversity of its trees, shrubs and other vegetation. The rainfall 450 – 750 mm per year, occurring mainly in the summer and autumn. The summers are warm, the winter days are normally sunny, followed by crisply cool nights. Frost is rare.
