From the outset the conservation mentality and focus on preservation steered towards natural walking the trails, viewing the abundant plant, animal and bird life from close-up, periodically pausing or even enjoying a picnic at one of the communal picnic spots. The steep inclines are the dedicated cyclist dream and the 1,1km runway provides the ideal opportunity for the amateur pilot to view the area from the sky. Rock-climbers will delight in the opportunity to view the magnificent gorges and ravines, with their prolific vegetation, from every conceivable vantage point.

Fishing in the shade of magnificent bushveld trees offer a fantastic alternative to a game drive on any one of the more than 45km gravel trails that sneek across the reserve.

The perfect end to any day remains sitting back in your favourite chair, watching the night slowly creeping over the african bush while your fire slowly builds momentum.
